Royal Ascot 2023 and 2024: Excitement Builds at Ascot Racecourse
Ascot Racecourse Buzzing with Anticipation Ahead of Royal Ascot 2023 and 2024
As the racing world eagerly awaits the highly anticipated Royal Ascot events, Ascot Racecourse is preparing to once again captivate enthusiasts with an exceptional lineup of thrilling races and unforgettable experiences. Trainer Paul Nicholls has revealed that Bravemansgame, the Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up, may potentially make an appearance at the Betfair Chase at Haydock on Saturday.
Nicholls is encouraged by the prospect of the ground at Haydock drying up, and he plans to leave Bravemansgame in the race at Monday’s penultimate forfeit stage. The trainer believes that the horse has come on considerably since his last-fence mistake in the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby earlier this month.
“He is 100 per cent. He needed that first run, but that was not the target. I think he has come on a lot,” Nicholls said. “If it could be soft, heavy in places, that would be tempting.”
However, Nicholls faces a potential jockey headache, as regular rider Harry Cobden is needed at Ascot, where the champion trainer has a clutch of runners, including Pic D’Orhy in the 1965 Chase.
“If Bravemansgame runs, it would give me a jockey headache, but it wouldn’t do any harm for the future for someone to get a feel of him in case you ever needed a substitute,” Nicholls added.
Fans of Royal Ascot can look forward to the thrilling action of the 2023 and 2024 events, which are sure to captivate audiences with their renowned dress code, high-stakes races, and prestigious atmosphere. As the countdown to these renowned races continues, Ascot Racecourse remains at the forefront of the sporting world, promising unforgettable moments for all in attendance.
