Arabian Crown Triumphs at Sandown: Betfred Derby Contender
Ascot Racecourse Welcomes Arabian Crown’s Impressive Triumph at Sandown
In an exhilarating display at Sandown, Arabian Crown, the 6-1 second favorite for the upcoming Betfred Derby, clinched a comfortable three-and-a-quarter length victory in the bet365 Classic Trial. The Aidan O’Brien-trained City of Troy, the 5-4 Derby favorite, is set to run in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket next Saturday.
Jockey William Buick, who rode Arabian Crown, was delighted with the performance, stating, “I think everyone will be happy with that, I was. He has a big stride and likes to use it.” The Charlie Appleby-trained son of Dubawi made all the running to secure the impressive win.
