He got the job done in the end and he idled a bit, but he did not jump as well as he can,” the trainer said.

Saturday’s race at Kempton is set to be a tougher challenge, with the opposition headed by Alan King-trained Edwardstone, who is racing at two and a half miles over fences for the first time – a distance that appears to suit him well. However, Pic D’Orhy has proven his prowess on flat tracks like Kempton, having won the race last year.
